One tap. Or one email.
No hoops. No retention bargaining.
- Sign in at bigloveaffair.com using the same method you originally used (Google, Facebook, or magic-link email).
- Open /me.
- Scroll to the bottom. Tap DELETE MY DATA. Confirm.
Your handle, city, why-here, avatar, and email are removed immediately. Candles you lit stay counted in the aggregate total (we can’t tell which were yours after the delete), but they no longer appear on the public wall or ticker with your details.
Sign in to deletearrow_forwardIf you can’t sign in (lost access, deleted the email, never made a profile), write to:
Subject: Delete my data. Send from the email address on file (or tell us which one). We’ll confirm and remove within 7 days. A person reads it.
- Your email address
- Your handle, display name, avatar emoji
- Your city and “why I’m here”
- Any session cookies and active sign-in tokens
- Identifying fields on candles you lit (the candles stay in the aggregate count … they were anonymous to begin with)
If you signed in with Facebook or Google, deleting here removes everything on our side. It doesn’t touch your account on Facebook or Google themselves … to revoke this app’s connection there, visit your provider’s app permissions settings (Facebook: Settings → Apps and Websites; Google: Account → Security → Third-party apps).
Lines submitted to /quiet were never tied to an identity in the first place … they can’t be deleted by user because we have no way to know which one was yours. That’s by design. The submission form doesn’t collect IP, email, or any identifier.
